I'd like to know if I can add a lock to the doors of this shelf unit. Is there an available accessory or modification that would allow me to do so?

The BESTÅ shelf unit does not have a built-in locking mechanism for the doors. However, there is an available accessory you can purchase separately to add a lock. IKEA offers the BESTÅ Lock for doors, which can be installed on the doors to secure the contents. This lock accessory is designed specifically for the BESTÅ series and will allow you to lock the doors as needed. To install it, you would simply need to follow the instructions provided with the lock accessory
