Posted on Jul 11, 2022I am having trouble opening the sliding doors. They seem to be stuck and won't slide open. How can I troubleshoot this issue?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Jul 13, 2022To troubleshoot the issue with the sliding doors, please try the following steps:
1. Check if the doors are properly aligned on the track. Ensure that the rollers on the doors are sitting correctly in the track and are not obstructed.
2. Inspect the track for any debris or obstructions. Clean the track thoroughly using a soft cloth to remove any dirt, dust or debris that may be causing the doors to stick.
3. Verify that the adjustable feet are level and the cabinet is standing evenly on the floor. Uneven floors can cause the doors to bind and not slide smoothly.
4. Lubricate the rollers and track using a silicone-based lubricant. Apply a small amount and then open and close the doors several times to distribute the lubricant.
5. If the doors still do not slide easily, there may be an issue with the damper mechanism. You may need to contact IKEA for further assistance in resolving this problem
