Posted on Apr 11, 2024I have a BERGMUND bar stool and the cover is starting to fray at the edges. Is there any way to reinforce or repair it? Can I glue or sew anything to prevent further damage?

1. Sewing: Carefully trim any loose or frayed threads, then use a needle and thread to sew a simple straight stitch along the edge to reinforce it. Make sure to use a thread color that matches the cover material.
2. Fabric glue: Apply a small amount of fabric glue or liquid stitch along the frayed edge, pressing it down firmly to secure the fabric. Allow the glue to fully dry before using the stool.
3. Iron-on hem tape: Cut a small strip of iron-on hem tape and place it along the frayed edge. Follow the instructions on the packaging to iron the tape in place, securing the fabric.
