Posted on Aug 23, 2023I am having trouble installing the KALLAX TV unit because the back panel does not fit flush with the shelves. It seems to be about 1/8 inch off. Is this normal or is there a gap that I can fill?

Answered on Aug 25, 2023The slight gap between the back panel and the shelves on the KALLAX TV unit is normal and expected. This gap is intentionally designed to allow for easy cable management through the open back. The 1/8 inch gap is by design to provide clearance for routing cables and cords behind the unit. There is no need to try and fill this gap, as it is a functional part of the KALLAX's construction. As long as the unit is assembled correctly, the slight spacing between the back panel and shelves is not a defect and will not affect the stability or use of the KALLAX TV unit

Posted on Jan 02, 2023I'm having trouble assembling the Kallax TV unit and I'm missing one of the screws that attaches the shelves to the frame. Can you please help me identify where I can get a replacement screw or provide instructions on how to fix it without the screw?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Jan 04, 2023To fix the missing screw that attaches the shelf to the Kallax TV unit frame, you can try the following:
First, check if you have any extra screws from the hardware pack that came with the Kallax. If so, you can use one of those replacement screws to secure the shelf.
If you don't have any extra screws, you can visit your nearest IKEA store and request a replacement screw. Bring the Kallax product with you or the product information so they can provide you with the correct replacement part.
Alternatively, you can use a similar sized screw that fits the pre-drilled holes. Make sure the replacement screw is not too long, as it could damage the unit. Carefully insert the new screw and tighten it securely to ensure the shelf is properly attached to the frame.
With the missing screw replaced, you should be able to complete the assembly of your Kallax TV unit. Let me know if you have any other questions
