Answered on Feb 22, 2024The shelf supports for the LACK TV unit are not sold separately as replacement parts. The entire unit is designed as a single piece, so the best solution would be to purchase a new LACK TV unit if the shelf supports are damaged or no longer functioning properly. The unique construction of this product makes it difficult to replace individual components. I'd recommend exploring other IKEA TV unit options that may offer more flexibility for replacement parts if that's a key requirement for you

Posted on Nov 18, 2023Can I use this TV unit as a bookshelf? Would it be sturdy enough to hold heavier books or decorations?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Nov 20, 2023The LACK TV unit is designed primarily as a TV stand, not a general-purpose bookshelf. While the unit has a maximum load capacity of 55 lbs per shelf, it may not be sturdy enough to reliably support heavier books or decorative items long-term. The thin particleboard construction is not as robust as a dedicated bookshelf. I would not recommend using this TV unit to hold anything significantly heavier than a TV and associated components. For storing books or displaying decorations, a sturdier shelving unit would be a better choice
