To make the armchair as comfortable as possible for you, we designed it with generous proportions for both the seat and the armrests so they provide good support.
You can stack 2 armchairs on top of each other by turning one upside down and positioning it on the other one.
The seat has a small edge at the back to keep a chair cushion in place.
Plastic feet protect the furniture when in contact with a damp surface.
Made of high-quality, sustainably sourced eucalyptus.
Eucalyptus is a durable, hard wood type suitable for outdoor use since it is compact and has a naturally high oil content that helps protect against weather and wind, drying out and mold.

Posted on Oct 02, 2023I'm having trouble keeping the cushions clean. The water-repellent treatment seems to be wearing off, and I've noticed some discoloration. Are there any special cleaning products recommended by Ikea for this type of fabric?

Answered on Oct 04, 2023To keep the cushions on your BONDHOLMEN Armchair clean and maintain the water-repellent treatment, IKEA recommends using a mild soap and water solution. Avoid using harsh chemicals or detergents, as these can damage the fabric and reduce the water-repellency.
For discoloration, you can try gently scrubbing the affected areas with a soft-bristled brush and the soap and water solution. Be careful not to soak the cushions, as excessive moisture can also compromise the water-repellent properties.
After cleaning, allow the cushions to air dry completely before using the armchair again. You may also want to consider reapplying a water-repellent spray or treatment to the cushion covers to help restore their protective properties. Is there a specific way to disassemble it or is it just a simple zipper or Velcro closure?

Answered on Jul 24, 2023The cushion cover on the BONDHOLMEN Armchair is designed to be easily removable and machine washable. It has a simple zipper closure that allows you to take the cover off the cushion.
To remove the cushion cover, simply locate the zipper, usually found on the underside or back of the cushion, and unzip it. This will allow you to lift the cover off the cushion.
Once removed, the cushion cover can be machine washed to keep it clean and fresh. After washing, simply zip the cover back onto the cushion and it's ready to use again

Posted on Jul 29, 2022I was wondering if there's a way to clean the armchair itself, like wiping it with soap and water or something. The manufacturer's instructions only mention cleaning the cushion cover by machine washing it, but what about the armchair frame?

The gray-colored surface is a three-layer treatment that helps protect the eucalyptus wood from weathering, so you don't need to do anything too intensive to keep it clean.
