Answered on Jan 18, 2024To adjust the shelves in the BESTÅ TV storage combination, follow these steps:
1. Locate the shelf pins that are holding the shelf in place. These are small plastic or metal pins that fit into holes on the side panels.
2. Gently pull the shelf straight out to remove it from the pins.
3. Decide on the new desired shelf position and align the shelf pins with the corresponding holes on the side panels.
4. Carefully push the shelf back into place, ensuring the pins are fully inserted.
No special tools are required to adjust the shelves. You can use your hands to pull out the shelf and reposition it as needed. Make sure to evenly distribute the weight on the shelves and not exceed the maximum load capacity of 44 lb (20 kg) per shelf

Posted on Nov 13, 2022I just purchased the BESTÅ TV storage combination and I am having trouble closing one of the drawers smoothly. The soft-closing function seems to be malfunctioning. Is there a way to adjust or maintain this feature?

Answered on Nov 15, 2022The soft-closing function on the BESTÅ drawer can be adjusted if it is not working properly. First, check that the drawer is properly aligned and not obstructed. If the alignment is off, you can try adjusting the drawer hinges. There are screws on the hinges that allow you to fine-tune the positioning of the drawer. Gently tighten or loosen these screws as needed until the drawer closes smoothly. If the issue persists, the soft-closing mechanism itself may need adjustment. There is a small lever or switch on the side of the drawer that controls the soft-closing feature. Try adjusting this lever slightly and test the drawer closing again. With a little tweaking, you should be able to get the soft-closing function working properly on your BESTÅ TV storage combination
