Posted on Jul 07, 2022I have a BESTÅ TV storage combination and I'm having trouble getting the drawers to slide smoothly. The left drawer is sticking and hard to open. Is there a way to lubricate or clean the tracks to make it run more smoothly?

Answered on Jul 09, 2022To help the drawer slide more smoothly, try the following steps:
1. Check the drawer track for any obstructions or debris. Gently wipe down the track with a clean, dry cloth to remove any dirt or dust buildup.
2. Apply a small amount of silicone-based furniture polish or lubricant to the drawer track. Avoid using oil-based lubricants as they can attract more dirt over time.
3. Ensure the drawer is properly aligned in the track. Gently push or pull the drawer to adjust its position if needed.
4. Check that the drawer is not overloaded. The maximum load capacity for each BESTÅ drawer is 22 lb (10 kg). Redistribute the contents if the drawer feels too heavy.
5. If the issue persists, the drawer glides may need to be replaced. Contact IKEA customer service for assistance in ordering replacement parts.
