Posted on Feb 16, 2024I have a Bestå storage combination and I'm having trouble getting the drawers to open smoothly. Sometimes they get stuck or don't open at all. What could be causing this issue?

Answered on Feb 18, 2024The most common reasons for drawers in a Bestå storage combination getting stuck or not opening smoothly are:
1. Overloading the drawers - The maximum load per drawer is 22 lb (10 kg). Exceeding this weight limit can cause the drawers to bind.
2. Misalignment of the drawer runners - The drawer runners may have become misaligned, preventing the drawers from gliding smoothly. Try adjusting the runners to ensure proper alignment.
3. Debris in the drawer runners - Over time, dust and debris can accumulate in the drawer runners, causing friction. Clean the runners thoroughly with a soft cloth to remove any buildup.
4. Worn or damaged drawer runners - If the drawer runners are worn out or damaged, they may need to be replaced. You can order replacement runners from IKEA.
