The drawers close silently and softly, thanks to the integrated soft-closing function.
It’s easy to keep the cords from your TV and other devices out of sight but close at hand, as there are several cord outlets at the back of the TV bench.
The two drawers make it easy to keep remote controls, game controls and other TV accessories organized.
Adjustable feet make the TV bench stand evenly on an uneven floor.
Optimize and organize your BESTÅ storage with boxes and inserts that you like.
It’s not only the TV that’s smart! BESTÅ TV units combine contemporary good looks with practical function. You get lots of storage space and relief from cables that tend to get messy and gather dust.

Posted on Mar 05, 2024I've noticed that the drawers of my Bestå TV unit have become quite stuck and difficult to open. Is there a specific lubricant or method recommended by Ikea to maintain the soft-closing function and keep the drawers running smoothly?

Posted on Jan 15, 2024I would like to know if the soft-closing function can be adjusted or disabled. Sometimes the drawers close too loudly and it's disturbing, especially when you're watching a movie.
Is there a way to tweak this feature?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Jan 17, 2024The soft-closing function on the BESTÅ TV unit drawers cannot be adjusted or disabled. This feature is integrated into the drawer slides and is not meant to be modified by the user.
If the drawers are closing too loudly and disturbing your movie watching, there are a couple things you can try:
1. Ensure the drawers are properly installed and the soft-closing mechanism is functioning as intended. Over time, the mechanism may need to be lubricated to maintain smooth and quiet operation.
2. Consider placing felt pads or bumpers on the inside of the drawer fronts. This can help cushion the closing motion and reduce noise.
3. As a last resort, you could replace the drawer slides with a different set that does not have the integrated soft-closing feature. However, this would require partially disassembling the unit.
The soft-closing function is a key design element of the BESTÅ TV unit, so disabling it is not recommended. With some minor adjustments, you should be able to find a solution to reduce the noise while maintaining the intended functionality

Posted on Apr 10, 2023I have a Besta TV unit and I'm having trouble with the soft-close mechanism not working properly on one of the drawers. It's like it gets stuck halfway closed. Have you experienced this issue before? How did you troubleshoot or fix it?

Answered on Apr 12, 2023The issue with the soft-close mechanism not working properly on one of the drawers is likely due to a few potential causes:
1. Obstruction in the drawer track: Check the drawer track for any obstructions, such as debris or small objects, that may be preventing the drawer from closing smoothly.
2. Misalignment of the drawer: Ensure that the drawer is properly aligned within the frame. If it's slightly off-center, it can cause the soft-close mechanism to malfunction.
3. Wear and tear on the mechanism: Over time, the soft-close mechanism can wear down, causing it to not function as intended. In this case, you may need to replace the soft-close mechanism.
To troubleshoot and fix the issue, I would recommend the following steps:
1. Fully extend the drawer and inspect the track for any obstructions. Clean the track if necessary.
2. Check the alignment of the drawer and make any adjustments to ensure it's properly centered.
3. If the above steps don't resolve the issue, you may need to replace the soft-close mechanism. This is typically a straightforward process, but you may need to consult the IKEA instructions or contact their customer service for guidance
