Perfect height for small children. They can easily reach and find things on their own.
To save on our natural resources and make use of as much of the tree as possible, we have used sawmill leftovers and scrap wood in the particle boards for SMÅSTAD.
Where is it easiest to store pens, paper and all those other small things? With a low chest of drawers of course! You child can easily reach and find things on their own – and (maybe) put them back again.

Posted on Sep 19, 2023I have the Småstad 3-drawer chest and I'm wondering if there's a way to add more storage space. Are there any additional drawer inserts or organizers that are compatible with this piece?

Answered on Sep 21, 2023The SMÅSTAD 3-drawer chest does not have any official IKEA drawer inserts or organizers designed specifically for it. However, you can try using some generic drawer organizers that may fit inside the existing drawers to add more storage space and organization. Look for shallow drawer dividers, trays or bins that are the right size to fit within the dimensions of the SMÅSTAD drawers. This can help maximize the storage potential of the chest without modifying the product itself. Just be sure to measure the interior drawer sizes carefully before purchasing any additional organizers

Posted on Aug 05, 2023I'm having trouble assembling the Småstad 3-drawer chest. The instructions are unclear and I've missed a piece (the small white plastic piece that connects the drawer slides). Can you please help me identify where this part is or provide more detailed assembly instructions?

Answered on Aug 07, 2023The small white plastic piece you're missing is likely the drawer runner connector. It connects the drawer runners to the chest frame, allowing the drawers to slide smoothly.
To install the drawer runner connector:
1. Locate the holes on the inside of the chest frame where the drawer runners attach.
2. Take the small white plastic piece and align it with those holes.
3. Push it firmly into place until it clicks and locks the drawer runner in position.
Once the drawer runner connector is installed, you can proceed with attaching the drawer runners to the chest frame and then installing the drawers.
If you're still having trouble, I'd recommend reviewing the assembly instructions again carefully, step-by-step. You can also contact IKEA customer service if you need further assistance. They should be able to provide more detailed guidance or send you the missing part
