Posted on Jan 10, 2024I'm having trouble installing the BESTÅ TV storage combination, specifically with the wall mount brackets. Can you provide more detailed instructions or a diagram to help me get it right? I've attached the product manual but it's not quite clear to me.

Answered on Jan 12, 2024To install the wall mount brackets for the BESTÅ TV storage combination:
1. Locate the wall studs where you plan to mount the unit. Use a stud finder to identify the studs.
2. Position the wall brackets at the desired height and mark the screw hole locations on the wall. Ensure the brackets are level.
3. Pre-drill pilot holes into the wall studs using a drill bit slightly smaller than the wall mounting screws.
4. Securely attach the wall brackets to the wall using the provided screws, making sure they are level and properly anchored into the wall studs.
5. With the help of another person, lift the BESTÅ unit and carefully hang it onto the installed wall brackets. Ensure it is properly engaged and secured.
6. Once the unit is mounted, you can route the cords through the cable outlets at the back and top to keep them neatly hidden.

Can you confirm if the cable outlet at the top is removable or fixed? I'd like to make sure it's easy to manage cords that are prone to tangling.
Also, how do the drawers stay silent and soft-closing? Is there any maintenance required for this feature, such as lubricating the mechanism or replacing parts?

Answered on Jul 31, 2022The glass doors on the BESTÅ TV storage combination can be removed for cleaning or maintenance purposes. To remove the glass doors:
1. Open the door fully.
2. Locate the small plastic clips on the hinges at the top and bottom of the door.
3. Carefully press the plastic clips inwards to release the door from the hinge.
4. Gently lift the door straight up and off the hinges.
Once the door is removed, you can clean the glass and wipe down the inside of the cabinet as needed. To reattach the door, simply align it with the hinges and press the plastic clips back into place until you hear a click, securing the door back onto the cabinet
