This lampshade was designed by Bent Boysen and shown in our 1979 catalogue. Then with the fitting name CIRKEL. An example of IKEA icons given a new life in the Nytillverkad collection.
Between the years 1979 to 1987, Bent Gantzel-Boysen designed several lamps for IKEA as a freelance designer. His first creation was CIRKEL pendant lamp, which we are now proudly relaunching as HAVSFJÄDER lampshade in the Nytillverkad collection. Bent was a humble man and not much for awards or ceremonies. But in the IKEA catalogues, his name stands proudly next to his brilliant designs, and we are lucky to have been a part of his history.
