The most important thing when I designed the KUNGSFORS series was for it to spread the joy of cooking. The series helps you to have kitchen utensils, spices and ingredients visible, which I think makes the kitchen look nice ‒ while it encourages the appetite and desire to cook. I also wanted it to help make it simpler to keep things in order and make cooking easier. The parts can be combined in any way, so they fit both large and small kitchens ‒ and people's different needs.
You’ve probably also come home tired after a long day, feeling the stress of knowing that the whole family needs food as soon as possible. But there are tricks that help make cooking in the kitchen both easier and more enjoyable. With our wall-mounted kitchen storage series KUNGSFORS, utensils, spices and recipes have their given places on the wall so that you get more space and a better flow in the kitchen. Strong, flexible and one of the world's fastest growing plants – bamboo has many uses that make it an excellent renewable material. It’s a type of grass and usually grows without the need for fertilizers or irrigation. After being harvested, it grows new shoots that are ready for harvesting after 4-6 years. At IKEA, we use bamboo for items like furniture, bathroom decor, baskets and lamps – and we are constantly exploring more areas of use for this versatile material.
Different wall materials require different types of fasteners. Use fasteners suitable for the walls in your home.
Be aware that different wall materials are able to support different loads of weight. For instance, walls made of drywall cannot support as much weight as walls made of wood, concrete, or brick.
Use the included wall brackets for wall mounting.
