Answered on Mar 31, 2023The most common cause of sticking or stuck drawers in a SEKTION base cabinet with 3 MAXIMERA drawers is usually due to misalignment or wear and tear on the drawer slides. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and fix the issue:
First, check that the drawers are properly aligned within the cabinet frame. Ensure the drawer fronts are evenly spaced and the drawers are sliding in and out smoothly. If needed, you can try adjusting the drawer alignment by loosening the screws that attach the drawer slides to the cabinet frame, repositioning the drawer, then re-tightening the screws.
Next, inspect the drawer slides themselves. Over time, the ball bearings or glides in the slides can become worn down, causing the drawers to stick. You may be able to lubricate the slides with a silicone-based lubricant to help restore smooth operation. If the slides are severely worn, you may need to replace them.
Finally, make sure there is no debris or obstructions interfering with the drawer movement. Wipe down the slides and cabinet interior to remove any dust, dirt or other buildup.
By addressing these common issues, you should be able to get your SEKTION drawers operating smoothly again
