Posted on Mar 30, 2024I've assembled the SEKTION base cabinet with 3 fronts and 4 drawers as instructed. However, I'm having trouble getting the drawers to run smoothly. They are slightly sticky and don't slide in and out easily. Can you please provide any troubleshooting tips or advice on how to maintain the smooth running of these drawers?

Answered on Apr 01, 2024To troubleshoot the sticky drawer issue, I would recommend the following steps:
1. Check the drawer slides: Ensure the drawer slides are properly installed and aligned. The slides should be clean and free of any obstructions or debris.
2. Lubricate the slides: Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant or IKEA's own drawer slide lubricant to the moving parts of the drawer slides. This will help reduce friction and improve the smoothness of the drawer operation.
3. Adjust the drawer front: If the drawer front is not properly aligned, it can cause the drawer to bind. Adjust the drawer front by loosening the screws and repositioning it until the drawer slides in and out smoothly.
4. Check the drawer weight: Ensure the drawer is not overloaded, as excessive weight can cause the drawer to stick. Redistribute the contents of the drawer if necessary.
5. Clean the drawer and cabinet: Wipe down the inside of the cabinet and the drawer box to remove any dust or debris that may be interfering with the smooth operation.
By following these troubleshooting steps, you should be able to resolve the sticky drawer issue and restore the smooth, soft-closing functionality of the MAXIMERA drawers

Posted on Oct 01, 2022I'm having some issues with the drawer runners on my SEKTION base cabinet. They seem to be stuck and difficult to open/close smoothly. Have you experienced this issue before? If so, are there any troubleshooting steps I can take or replacement parts that I can order?
