Posted on Feb 19, 2024I'm having trouble finding the perfect spot for this shelf in my bathroom, but I think it could work well above the sink. Do you have any recommendations on how to secure it to the wall? Should I use screws or adhesive strips?

Answered on Feb 21, 2024To securely mount the HEMNES wall shelf above your bathroom sink, I would recommend using screws to attach it directly to the wall. The open shelves are not suitable for adhesive strips, as they may not provide a strong enough hold. Look for wall anchors that can support the weight of the shelf and any items you plan to store on it. Carefully measure and mark the wall where you want to position the shelf, then use a stud finder to locate the wall studs. Drill pilot holes and secure the shelf using screws into the studs for maximum stability. This will ensure the shelf is safely mounted and can support the weight without any risk of it coming loose from the wall

Answered on May 22, 2023To mount the HEMNES wall shelf on an uneven wall, you can use shims to level it. The shelf has pre-drilled holes that allow you to adjust the level by placing shims behind the mounting brackets. Start by holding the shelf against the wall and mark the screw hole locations. Then, use wall anchors and screws to secure the mounting brackets to the wall. Before tightening the screws, check the level of the shelf and add shims as needed behind the brackets to even it out. This will ensure the shelf is properly leveled and stable, even on an uneven wall surface

Posted on Jan 27, 2023I would like to attach this shelf above a window, but the wall is quite thin (only about 1 inch). Will this shelf be sturdy enough for that or would you recommend an anchor or additional support?
