Posted on Aug 29, 2023I have the UPPLAND sofa and I love it! However, I'm having some trouble with the removable cover. It seems to be quite difficult to get off, is there a trick or specific technique to make it easier?

Answered on Aug 31, 2023To remove the cover on the UPPLAND sofa, start by unzipping the cover completely. Gently pull the cover away from the sofa frame, working your way around the edges. The cover is designed to be a snug fit, so you may need to use a bit of force, but be careful not to pull too hard and damage the fabric. Once the cover is fully detached, you can easily machine wash it according to the care instructions. With a little patience, the cover should come off smoothly, allowing you to keep your UPPLAND sofa looking its best

Posted on Jan 09, 2023I recently purchased the UPPLAND sofa in Hallarp gray. I am very pleased with it, but I have one issue - the removable cover does not fit properly on one side of the sofa. It is a bit too small and bunches up when I try to put it back on. Is there any way to get a replacement cover or adjust the existing one to fit better?

Answered on Jan 11, 2023The issue with the cover not fitting properly on one side of the UPPLAND sofa is likely due to the cover shrinking slightly after washing. To address this, you have a few options:
1. Request a replacement cover from IKEA customer service. Explain the issue and they should be able to provide a new cover that will fit correctly.
2. Try gently stretching the cover while it's on the sofa to loosen it up. You can also try using a fabric steamer to relax the fibers and help the cover fit better.
3. If the cover is just slightly too small, you may be able to carefully sew in some extra fabric panels to enlarge it. This would require some basic sewing skills.
I hope these suggestions help you resolve the fit issue with the UPPLAND sofa cover. Let me know if you have any other questions
