To save on our natural resources and make use of as much of the tree as possible, we have used sawmill leftovers and scrap wood in the particle boards for SMÅSTAD.
A stable desk where your child can work, draw, play and develop. The drawers are perfect for crayons and paper. If the family grows the desk can be transformed to a changing table.

Posted on Apr 13, 2024I'm having trouble assembling the desk, specifically with the drawer slides. Can you provide instructions or a video tutorial on how to properly attach them? I've followed the manual but it doesn't seem to be fitting together correctly

Answered on Apr 15, 2024To properly attach the drawer slides on the SMÅSTAD desk, here are the steps:
1. Locate the drawer slides that came with the desk. There should be two sets - one for each drawer.
2. Identify the left and right slides. They are labeled or have a small "L" and "R" marking to indicate which side they go on.
3. Extend the slide mechanism all the way out. There is typically a lever or button you need to press to fully extend it.
4. Align the slide with the pre-drilled holes on the inside of the desk frame. Make sure it is level and secure it in place using the screws provided.
5. Repeat step 4 for the other slide on the opposite side.
6. Carefully insert the drawer into the extended slides, making sure it glides smoothly. You may need to make minor adjustments to the slide placement for a proper fit.
