Answered on Jan 08, 2023To securely attach the shelf inserts to the KALLAX shelving unit and prevent them from falling off over time, IKEA recommends the following:
1. Ensure the inserts are the correct size for the KALLAX shelves. They should fit snugly without any gaps.
2. Place the insert firmly into the shelf opening, pressing down evenly to fully seat it.
3. For added stability, you can use the included plastic clips or brackets to fasten the insert to the shelf. Clip or screw these into the pre-drilled holes along the sides of the shelf.
4. Make sure the clips or brackets are tightened securely to hold the insert in place.
5. Periodically check the inserts and retighten the clips or brackets as needed to maintain a tight fit.
