Posted on Mar 23, 2024I'm having trouble adjusting the arm of the reading lamp. The joint seems stuck and I can't move it up or down. Are there any tips on how to loosen it?

Answered on Mar 25, 2024The joint on the reading lamp arm may be stuck due to some buildup or tightness. Try the following steps to loosen it:
1. Gently wipe down the joint area with a clean, dry cloth to remove any dust or debris.
2. Apply a small amount of lightweight machine oil or silicone-based lubricant to the joint. Slowly move the arm up and down to work the lubricant into the mechanism.
3. If it's still stuck, you can try gently tapping the joint area with the handle of a screwdriver or other blunt tool to help free it up.
4. Avoid using excessive force, as this could damage the internal components. Take your time and work the joint slowly and carefully.
With a little patience and the right lubricant, you should be able to get the reading lamp arm moving freely again

Posted on Jul 14, 2023I've recently purchased the Flugbo Floor Uplighter/Reading Lamp and I'm having some issues with the shade not fitting snugly onto the lamp base. Is there a specific way to secure it or is it supposed to be loose?

Answered on Jul 16, 2023The glass shade on the FLUGBO floor lamp is meant to fit snugly onto the lamp base. If it is not fitting securely, there may be an issue with the connection point. First, ensure the threads on the lamp base are not damaged or worn. You can also try gently tightening the shade by hand to get a tighter fit. If the shade still feels loose, there may be a problem with the threading on the shade itself. In that case, you may need to contact IKEA customer service for a replacement shade. Proper installation is important to ensure the lamp functions safely and securely
