Posted on Apr 04, 2023I'm trying to assemble the SEKTION Base cabinet with shelves/2 doors, but I'm having trouble getting the doors to fit properly. The hinges seem a bit off and the doors are slightly misaligned. What could be the cause of this issue?

Answered on Apr 06, 2023The misalignment of the doors on your SEKTION Base cabinet is likely due to the hinges not being properly adjusted. The snap-on hinges on this cabinet are designed to be easily adjustable, so you can fine-tune the positioning of the doors.
First, ensure that the hinges are fully snapped into the cabinet frame. If they are not secured properly, the doors will not align correctly. Next, use a screwdriver to make small adjustments to the hinge screws, moving the doors incrementally until they are perfectly aligned. You may need to adjust the hinges on both doors to get the spacing and alignment just right.
Additionally, check that the cabinet frame is level and square, as any unevenness in the installation can cause the doors to hang improperly. With a little bit of fine-tuning, you should be able to get those doors aligned and operating smoothly

Posted on Dec 16, 2022I have the SEKTION Base cabinet with shelves and doors in Voxtorp walnut effect, and I'm having trouble opening one of the doors. The door is stuck and won't open fully. What could be causing this issue? Is there a specific way to adjust or fix the hinges or damper to resolve the problem?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Dec 18, 2022The most likely cause of the door being stuck and not opening fully is an issue with the hinges or the door damper. Here are the steps to troubleshoot and fix the problem:
1. Check the hinges: Ensure the hinges are properly installed and not loose. If needed, tighten the hinge screws to secure the hinges in place.
2. Adjust the hinges: If the hinges are properly installed, you may need to adjust them. Locate the adjustment screws on the hinges and turn them slightly to reposition the door. This can help align the door properly in the frame.
3. Inspect the door damper: The door damper could be malfunctioning and causing the door to stick. Examine the damper mechanism to ensure it is working correctly. If needed, you can try replacing the damper.
4. Clean the components: Over time, debris can build up on the hinges and damper, causing the door to stick. Carefully clean the hinges, damper, and surrounding areas to remove any accumulated dirt or dust.
By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue with your SEKTION base cabinet door. Let me know if you have any further questions
