Posted on Nov 08, 2022I have received my Månalg wall lamp and I must say it's beautiful! However, the lamp is not emitting any light when turned on. Can you please provide instructions on how to troubleshoot or replace a faulty lamp?

Answered on Nov 10, 2022To troubleshoot the issue with your MÅNALG wall lamp not emitting any light, please follow these steps:
1. Check the power connection - Ensure the lamp is properly plugged into a functioning electrical outlet. Verify the outlet is providing power by testing it with another device.
2. Inspect the lamp bulb - Unscrew the lamp shade and check if the bulb is securely installed and not burnt out. Replace the bulb if necessary, making sure to use a bulb that does not exceed the maximum wattage of 13W.
3. Test the dimmer (if used) - If you are using the TRÅDFRI dimmer kit, ensure it is properly paired and functioning correctly. Try operating the lamp without the dimmer to isolate the issue.
4. Check the wiring - Inspect the lamp's internal wiring for any loose, damaged or disconnected connections. If you are not comfortable doing this, it's best to contact IKEA customer service for further assistance.
If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to request a replacement lamp from IKEA. Their customer service team will be able to provide further guidance and support

Posted on Aug 19, 2022What kind of light bulbs are compatible with this lamp?
Are they energy-efficient LED bulbs or traditional incandescent bulbs?
Additionally, can I install the lamp on a wooden surface or does it require a specific type of wall material?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Aug 21, 2022This MÅNALG wall lamp is designed to use LED light bulbs. The product description states that the maximum wattage is 13W, which indicates it is compatible with energy-efficient LED bulbs. Traditional incandescent bulbs would not be suitable for this lamp.
Regarding the installation, the lamp can be mounted on a variety of wall surfaces, including wood. The product description does not specify any requirements for the wall material, so it should be compatible with a wooden surface as long as the wall can properly support the weight of the lamp
