Posted on Jul 03, 2023I have a Maximera drawer in my cabinet that is not rolling smoothly. It gets stuck and I have to force it out. Is there anything I can do to fix this or should I contact Ikea customer service?

Answered on Jul 05, 2023The issue with the Maximera drawer not rolling smoothly and getting stuck is likely due to misalignment or obstruction within the drawer slides. Here are some steps you can try to fix the problem:
1. Fully extend the drawer and inspect the slides for any debris or obstructions. Clean the slides with a soft cloth to remove any dirt or dust buildup.
2. Check if the drawer is properly aligned within the cabinet frame. Ensure the drawer is centered and the slides are engaged correctly on both sides.
3. Adjust the drawer alignment by loosening the screws that attach the drawer to the slides, then gently shift the drawer into the correct position. Retighten the screws once the alignment is correct.
4. If the issue persists, the slides may be damaged and need to be replaced. You can order replacement Maximera drawer slides from IKEA and follow their instructions to install the new slides.
If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the problem, contacting IKEA customer service would be the best next step to get further assistance

Posted on Mar 28, 2023I've installed the SEKTION / MAXIMERA Base cabinet with 2 doors/2 drawers in my kitchen. However, I'm having trouble with the drawer runners. The drawers seem to be catching on each other or the sides of the cabinet when I try to open them. What can I do to fix this issue?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Mar 30, 2023To resolve the issue with the drawer runners, try the following steps:
1. Check the alignment of the drawer runners. Ensure they are properly installed and level within the cabinet frame. The runners should be parallel to each other and evenly spaced.
2. Inspect the drawers themselves. Make sure they are not warped or damaged, as this can cause them to catch on the sides. If necessary, you can try adjusting the drawer fronts to ensure they are aligned correctly.
3. Clean the drawer runners and the interior of the cabinet thoroughly. Accumulated dust or debris can interfere with the smooth operation of the drawers.
4. Lubricate the drawer runners using a silicone-based lubricant or furniture polish. This will help reduce friction and allow the drawers to glide smoothly.
5. If the issue persists, you may need to replace the drawer runners. Contact IKEA customer service for replacement parts or guidance on how to properly install new runners
