I'm having trouble with the door damper not catching the moving door to close slowly and silently. Is there a trick to adjust it or clean it to get it working properly again?

To troubleshoot the door damper issue, first check if the damper is properly installed and aligned with the door. Ensure that the damper is securely attached to the cabinet frame and the door is closing against it correctly.

If the damper is installed properly, try cleaning it. Over time, the damper mechanism can get clogged with dust and debris, preventing it from functioning smoothly. Gently wipe down the damper with a soft, damp cloth to remove any buildup.

If cleaning doesn't resolve the issue, you may need to adjust the damper. There are usually small screws or mechanisms that allow you to fine-tune the tension and closing speed of the damper. Refer to the product manual or IKEA's online support for specific adjustment instructions for your SEKTION base cabinet model.

By following these steps, you should be able to get the door damper working properly again to ensure a slow, silent door closure
