Posted on May 13, 2023Can I adjust the drawer glides to make them run a bit smoother? They feel a bit stiff and sometimes get stuck
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on May 15, 2023The MAXIMERA drawer in this SEKTION base cabinet has built-in dampers to ensure smooth and quiet operation. To adjust the drawer glides, you can try the following steps:
1. Fully extend the drawer and locate the small adjustment screws on the drawer slides, usually near the front of the cabinet.
2. Using a screwdriver, turn the adjustment screws clockwise in small increments to increase the tension and make the drawer glide more smoothly.
3. Test the drawer movement and repeat the adjustment if needed, being careful not to overtighten the screws.
If the drawer continues to feel stuck or stiff after adjusting the glides, there may be an issue with the alignment or installation of the cabinet. In that case, you may need to consult the IKEA assembly instructions or consider contacting IKEA customer service for further assistance
