Posted on Aug 08, 2022I have a SEKTION high cabinet with shelves and 2 doors in Voxtorp walnut effect. The door damper doesn't work anymore and the door slams every time I close it. How can I fix or replace this damper?

Answered on Aug 10, 2022To replace the door damper on your SEKTION high cabinet with shelves and 2 doors in Voxtorp walnut effect, follow these steps:
1. Open the cabinet door fully and locate the door damper mechanism, usually attached to the inside of the cabinet frame.
2. Carefully remove the old damper by unscrewing or unclipping it from the cabinet frame.
3. Purchase a replacement door damper that is compatible with the SEKTION cabinet system. IKEA sells replacement dampers that should fit your model.
4. Attach the new damper to the cabinet frame in the same position as the old one, making sure it is securely in place.
5. Close the door slowly to test the new damper. It should catch the door and allow it to close gently and quietly.
