Answered on Mar 09, 2024To clean and maintain the LUNDSKÄR faucet and prevent mineral buildup:
1. Turn off the water supply to the faucet.
2. Remove the faucet head by unscrewing it from the faucet body.
3. Soak the faucet head in a vinegar solution (1 part vinegar, 1 part water) for 15-20 minutes to dissolve any mineral deposits.
4. Use a soft-bristled brush to gently scrub the faucet head and remove any remaining buildup.
5. Rinse the faucet head thoroughly with clean water.
6. Reattach the faucet head and turn the water supply back on.
7. Run the faucet for a minute to flush out any remaining vinegar solution.
To prevent future mineral buildup, you can also:
- Install a water softener to reduce mineral content in the water
- Clean the faucet head regularly (every 6 months) using the vinegar solution
- Wipe down the faucet exterior with a damp cloth to remove any water spots
This should help keep your LUNDSKÄR faucet looking and functioning its best
