Posted on Feb 21, 2024I have a slight issue with the faucet installation. The water pressure is very low and I'm not sure if it's because of the aerator device or something else.
Could you please provide some troubleshooting steps to help me identify the problem?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Feb 23, 2024The low water pressure is likely due to a clogged or malfunctioning aerator on the faucet. Here are some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:
1. Turn off the water supply to the faucet and remove the aerator by unscrewing it from the end of the faucet.
2. Inspect the aerator for any debris or buildup that may be restricting the water flow. If it's clogged, clean it thoroughly by soaking it in vinegar or using a small brush to remove any debris.
3. If the aerator appears clean, check the water flow without the aerator attached. If the water pressure improves, the aerator is likely the problem and needs to be replaced.
4. If the water pressure is still low without the aerator, the issue may be with the faucet cartridge or other internal components. You may need to disassemble the faucet further to inspect and potentially replace these parts.
5. Once the issue is resolved, reattach the cleaned or replaced aerator and turn the water supply back on to test the improved water pressure.
Let me know if these troubleshooting steps help resolve the low water pressure issue with your GODMORGON / ODENSVIK sink faucet

Posted on Nov 03, 2022I'd love to ask a question about this sink cabinet. How easy is it to clean the drawers' interior and the water trap mechanism, as they seem quite compact and I'm worried about dust accumulation?

Posted on Sep 16, 2022I've noticed that the faucet installed in my Godmorgon/Odensvik sink cabinet is leaking from the aerator device. What can I do to fix this? Is it possible to replace the aerator or is there another solution?

Answered on Sep 18, 2022To fix the leaking faucet, you can try replacing the aerator. The aerator is the small, threaded piece at the end of the faucet spout where the water comes out. Over time, the aerator can become clogged or damaged, causing leaks.
To replace the aerator:
1. Unscrew the aerator from the end of the faucet spout by turning it counterclockwise.
2. Take the old aerator with you to the hardware store or IKEA and find a replacement that matches your faucet model.
3. Screw the new aerator onto the faucet spout by turning it clockwise until tight.
If replacing the aerator doesn't stop the leak, there may be an issue with the faucet cartridge or other internal components. In that case, you may need to replace the entire faucet. Consult the IKEA product guide or contact their customer service for further troubleshooting steps
