Posted on Aug 03, 2023I recently purchased the Godmorgon/Odensvik sink cabinet, and I'm having some issues with the drawers. The soft-closing mechanism is not functioning properly, and the drawers are slamming shut when closed. Is there a way to adjust or replace this mechanism?

Answered on May 17, 2023The most likely cause of the water leaking from the drawer is a problem with the water protection system. The product description mentions that the drawers are protected from water damage thanks to a smart production technique where foil is wrapped vertically around the particleboard to prevent unprotected edges where water can penetrate.
To fix this issue, you'll need to inspect the drawer where the leak is occurring. First, check if the foil wrapping is intact and not damaged. If the foil is compromised, you may need to replace the drawer front or the entire drawer unit.
Another potential issue could be with the water trap design. Make sure the water trap is properly installed and leading the piping into the far back of the cabinet as described. If the water trap is not positioned correctly, it could allow water to leak into the drawer.
Carefully inspect the seals and gaskets around the sink and faucet as well, as any cracks or gaps there could also be the source of the leak. Replacing faulty seals may resolve the issue.
If you've checked all these areas and are still experiencing the leak, you may need to contact IKEA customer service for further assistance in troubleshooting and repairing the issue

Posted on Apr 05, 2023I've noticed that the drawers are quite deep, but there's a small gap between the drawer and the sink cabinet. How can I ensure that the water doesn't leak into this gap?

Answered on Apr 07, 2023The gap between the drawer and the sink cabinet is designed to prevent water damage. The drawers are protected from water damage thanks to a smart production technique where foil is wrapped vertically around the particleboard, so there are no unprotected edges where water can penetrate.
To further prevent water from leaking into the gap, you can apply a small bead of silicone caulk along the edge where the drawer meets the cabinet. This will create a water-tight seal and prevent any moisture from getting into the gap. Be sure to use a high-quality, mildew-resistant silicone caulk specifically designed for bathrooms
