Posted on Mar 19, 2024I recently purchased the Långfjäll Conference Chair in Gunnared dark gray/black, but I'm having some issues with the tilt tension mechanism. It seems to be stuck and won't adjust anymore. How can I fix this or do I need to contact IKEA customer service?

Answered on Mar 21, 2024The tilt tension mechanism on the LÅNGFJÄLL Conference chair is designed to be adjusted using an Allen key. If the mechanism is stuck and won't adjust, the most likely cause is that it needs to be properly lubricated.
To fix this issue, you'll need to locate the Allen bolt on the underside of the chair that controls the tilt tension. Use an Allen key to loosen the bolt slightly, then apply a few drops of a lightweight machine oil or lubricant to the mechanism. Tighten the bolt back up and test the tilt adjustment. You may need to repeat this a few times until the mechanism is moving freely again.
If the issue persists even after lubricating the mechanism, you may need to contact IKEA customer service, as there could be a larger problem with the chair's internal components. They should be able to provide further troubleshooting steps or arrange for a replacement part if necessary

Posted on May 12, 2023I have a LÅNGFJÄLL Conference chair that I recently purchased, but I'm having trouble with the backrest adjustment mechanism. The Allen key seems to be stuck and won't turn. Is there a trick or technique to get it out of the stuck position?
