Posted on Mar 11, 2024I would like to know if the Maximera drawer has any kind of soft-close mechanism that can be adjusted or is it fixed?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Mar 13, 2024The MAXIMERA drawer in the SEKTION / MAXIMERA Wall cabinet has a built-in soft-close mechanism that cannot be adjusted. The description states that the MAXIMERA drawer is "a smooth-running, full-extension drawer with built-in dampers so that it closes slowly, softly, and quietly." This indicates that the soft-close functionality is a fixed feature of the drawer design and is not adjustable by the user

Posted on May 01, 2023I have a Maximera wall cabinet and I'm experiencing some issues with the drawers. The drawers are slightly misaligned and sometimes get stuck when trying to pull them out. What can I do to adjust the drawers and prevent them from getting stuck? Additionally, how can I clean the hinges without having to remove the doors?

Answered on May 03, 2023To adjust the misaligned drawers on your SEKTION / MAXIMERA wall cabinet:
1. First, check that the cabinet frame is level and square. Use a spirit level to ensure it's installed properly.
2. Next, look at the drawer slides. Make sure they are properly secured to the cabinet frame and not loose. Tighten any screws as needed.
3. You can then adjust the drawer alignment by loosening the screws that attach the drawer front to the drawer box. Gently shift the drawer front into the correct position and retighten the screws.
As for cleaning the hinges without removing the doors, you can use a small brush or cloth to wipe down the visible hinge surfaces. Avoid getting moisture inside the hinge mechanism. If needed, you can also use a small amount of silicone-based hinge lubricant to keep the hinges operating smoothly

Posted on Dec 28, 2022I have a SEKTION / MAXIMERA Wall cabinet with door/2 drawers and the drawer is not sliding smoothly anymore. The drawer was previously very smooth but now it's catching on the track sometimes. How can I fix or lubricate the drawer to make it slide smoothly again?

Answered on Dec 30, 2022To fix the issue with the SEKTION / MAXIMERA drawer not sliding smoothly, you can try the following:
1. Check the drawer track: Inspect the drawer track for any debris or obstructions that may be causing the drawer to catch. Clean the track thoroughly using a soft cloth.
2. Lubricate the drawer track: Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant or furniture polish to the drawer track. This will help reduce friction and allow the drawer to slide more smoothly.
3. Adjust the drawer alignment: If the drawer is still not sliding smoothly, you may need to adjust the alignment of the drawer. Refer to the IKEA instructions on how to properly adjust the drawer alignment.
4. Replace the drawer runners: If the drawer runners are worn or damaged, you may need to replace them. Replacement drawer runners are available from IKEA.
By following these steps, you should be able to restore the smooth operation of the SEKTION / MAXIMERA drawer
