The fabric gives excellent protection against the sun’s UV rays as it has a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) rating of 50+, which means it blocks 98% of the ultraviolet radiation.

Posted on Jun 27, 2023I'm having trouble opening the umbrella. The handle seems stuck and won't budge when I try to pull it up or down. Is there a trick to getting it unstuck, or do I need to take it back for repair?

Answered on Jun 29, 2023It sounds like the umbrella handle may be stuck due to a few possible reasons:
1. The umbrella is not fully closed - Make sure the umbrella is in the fully closed position before trying to open it. There may be some resistance if it's not closed all the way.
2. Debris in the mechanism - Check if there is any dirt or debris caught in the opening/closing mechanism that could be preventing smooth operation. Gently clean out any debris.
3. Locked tilt function - Ensure the tilt function is not engaged, as this can prevent the umbrella from opening fully. Try adjusting the tilt to the neutral position.
If the handle still won't budge after trying these steps, the mechanism may be jammed or damaged and the umbrella may need repair. I'd recommend contacting IKEA customer service for further assistance. They should be able to provide guidance on getting the umbrella repaired or replaced if needed
