Posted on Aug 05, 2023I'm having trouble with the drawers getting stuck while closing. Is there a trick to lubricate them or is it just a matter of adjusting the tracks?

Answered on Aug 07, 2023To troubleshoot the issue with the drawers getting stuck while closing, here are a few steps you can try:
1. Check the drawer tracks: Ensure the drawer tracks are properly installed and aligned. Over time, the tracks can become misaligned, causing the drawers to stick. Try adjusting the tracks to ensure smooth movement.
2. Lubricate the tracks: Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant or furniture polish to the drawer tracks. This will help reduce friction and allow the drawers to glide smoothly.
3. Adjust the drawer front: If the drawer front is not properly aligned, it can cause the drawer to bind. Try adjusting the drawer front by loosening the screws and repositioning it.
4. Check for obstructions: Ensure there are no obstructions, such as debris or foreign objects, in the drawer tracks or the cabinet itself that could be causing the drawers to stick.
If the issue persists after trying these steps, you may need to consult the IKEA product manual or contact IKEA customer service for further assistance
