Posted on May 21, 2023I purchased the SEKTION base cabinet and I'm having trouble with the drawers not aligning properly. The Maximera drawers don't quite line up with each other, making it difficult to open one without hitting the other.
Is there a specific way to adjust the drawer alignment or should I contact Ikea for assistance?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on May 23, 2023The drawer misalignment issue you're experiencing can typically be resolved by adjusting the drawer fronts. Here are the steps to adjust the MAXIMERA drawer alignment:
1. Partially open the drawer you want to adjust.
2. Locate the adjustment screws on the sides of the drawer front.
3. Use a screwdriver to turn the adjustment screws clockwise or counterclockwise to move the drawer front left, right, up, or down as needed to align it with the other drawers.
4. Make small adjustments and test the drawer opening/closing until you achieve the desired alignment.
If you're unable to get the drawers properly aligned after trying these steps, I'd recommend contacting IKEA customer service. They can provide further troubleshooting advice or arrange for a repair visit if needed. The 25-year limited warranty should cover any issues with the drawer functionality

Posted on Feb 24, 2023I recently purchased the SEKTION base cabinet/p-out storage/2 drawer in white Maximera/Voxtorp walnut and I'm having some issues with one of the drawers not closing properly. The drawer seems to be stuck and won't close all the way. How can I troubleshoot or fix this problem?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Feb 26, 2023The issue with the drawer not closing properly is likely due to the drawer being misaligned or obstructed. Here are the steps to troubleshoot and fix this problem:
1. First, check if there is any obstruction preventing the drawer from closing fully. Remove any items that may be blocking the drawer path.
2. Inspect the drawer slides to ensure they are properly installed and not damaged. The slides should be smooth and free of any debris.
3. Adjust the drawer alignment. There are adjustable screws on the drawer front that allow you to fine-tune the position. Gently loosen the screws and adjust the drawer until it closes smoothly.
4. If the issue persists, you may need to remove the drawer and check the installation of the drawer slides. Ensure they are properly secured and aligned within the cabinet.
5. As a last resort, you can contact IKEA customer service for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or arrange a replacement part if needed
