Posted on Jul 27, 2023I'm having trouble assembling the Maximera drawer into the SEKTION base cabinet. The instructions seem unclear and I'm not sure how to secure it properly. Can you provide additional guidance or troubleshooting tips for this specific part of the assembly process?

Answered on Jul 29, 2023The Maximera drawer is designed to fit seamlessly into the SEKTION base cabinet, but there are a few key steps to ensure a proper installation:
1. Make sure the cabinet frame is properly assembled and level before attempting to install the drawer. This will ensure the drawer slides in smoothly.
2. Locate the drawer slides inside the cabinet frame. There should be a left and right slide. Extend them fully and align the front of the drawer with the slides.
3. Gently push the drawer into the slides, ensuring it engages properly on both sides. You may need to apply a bit of pressure to click the drawer into place.
4. Once the drawer is secured, test the smooth, full extension of the drawer to ensure it is installed correctly.
If you're still having trouble, double-check that all the hardware and screws are tightened properly. The instructions can be tricky, but with a bit of patience, you should be able to get the Maximera drawer installed correctly

Posted on Aug 09, 2022I've assembled the Maximera drawer and everything looks great except for a slight gap between the drawer and the base cab frame. How do I adjust or fix this issue?

Answered on Aug 11, 2022To adjust the gap between the Maximera drawer and the base cabinet frame, you can follow these steps:
1. Loosen the screws that attach the drawer front to the drawer box.
2. Gently push or pull the drawer front to adjust its position until the gap is even all around.
3. Once the gap is adjusted, tighten the screws back up to secure the drawer front in place.
If the gap persists, you can also try adjusting the hinges on the cabinet frame. Refer to the IKEA assembly instructions for your specific cabinet model to locate the hinge adjustment screws and make minor tweaks to align the drawer properly.
Remember to make only small adjustments at a time and check the fit after each adjustment. This will help you achieve a seamless, even gap between the drawer and the cabinet frame

Posted on Aug 01, 2022Can the drawer be adjusted to fit in a cabinet with slightly smaller dimensions? I'm trying to install it in a space that is 36" wide but only 23.5" deep. Would there be any issues with installation or functionality?

Answered on Aug 03, 2022The SEKTION / MAXIMERA base cabinet you described has a depth of 24 7/8" (63.2 cm), which is slightly larger than the 23.5" depth you have available. However, the cabinet frame depth is 24" (61 cm), so it may be possible to install it in the 23.5" deep space with some adjustments.
The MAXIMERA drawer is designed for full-extension, so reducing the depth may impact the drawer's ability to open and close smoothly. You may need to adjust the drawer slides or make other modifications to ensure proper functionality.
I would recommend carefully measuring the space and the cabinet dimensions to determine the best fit. You may also want to consult with an IKEA representative or a local handyman to get their advice on the installation process and any potential issues you may encounter
