Posted on Nov 10, 2023I'm having trouble installing the Bestå cabinet combination. The wall anchors that came with it don't seem to be fitting properly into the holes on the back of the cabinet. Are there any alternative anchoring options I can use or should I return the product?

Answered on Nov 12, 2023The wall anchors that come with the BESTÅ cabinet combination are designed to work with a variety of wall materials, but they may not always fit perfectly. Instead of returning the product, you can try using alternative anchoring options that are compatible with the walls in your home.
Some alternatives to consider are:
- Drywall anchors - These are designed specifically for mounting items on drywall and can provide a secure hold.
- Toggle bolts - These expand behind the wall to create a strong anchor point.
- Concrete screws - If your walls are made of concrete, these screws will provide a sturdy mounting solution.
Whichever alternative you choose, be sure to follow the installation instructions carefully and use the appropriate tools to ensure a secure and safe installation. With the right anchoring method, you should be able to successfully mount your BESTÅ cabinet combination

Posted on Aug 22, 2023I'm interested in installing the Bestå wall-mounted cabinet combination, but I have a question about the installation process. Can you provide more detailed instructions or recommendations for hanging the cabinet on a drywall? I'm concerned about the weight and stability of the cabinet once it's mounted
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Aug 24, 2023To properly install the BESTÅ wall-mounted cabinet combination on drywall, I recommend the following:
- Use wall anchors and screws rated for the weight of the cabinet, which is approximately 90 lbs (41 kg) when fully loaded. Standard drywall screws are not sufficient.
- Locate the wall studs behind the drywall and secure the cabinet directly into the studs whenever possible. This will provide the most stable mounting.
- For areas without accessible studs, use high-quality wall anchors designed for hollow drywall. Ensure the anchors can properly support the cabinet's weight.
- Double-check that all screws and anchors are tightened securely before loading the cabinet. This will help prevent the cabinet from becoming unstable or pulling away from the wall over time.
- Consider adding additional support, such as L-brackets, to further stabilize the cabinet if you have any concerns about the wall's ability to support the weight.
Following these steps will help ensure a safe and stable installation of your BESTÅ wall cabinet on drywall. Let me know if you have any other questions
