Article number: 294.198.94
The slightly textured surface on the front KALLVIKEN creates a concrete effect.
It’s easy to keep the cords from your TV and other devices out of sight but close at hand, as there are several cord outlets at the back of the TV bench.
The doors open with a light push and close silently and softly, as the hinges have both push-open and soft-closing functions.
The shelves are adjustable so you can customize your storage as needed.
Optimize and organize your BESTÅ storage with boxes and inserts that you like.
All you need to keep the area around the TV organized. You get lots of storage space and relief from unruly cords. Choose a ready-made combination or create your own. This is just one of many, many possibilities.

Posted on Jul 28, 2022I am having trouble getting the doors to close softly and silently as described in the product description. Is there a trick or adjustment that I can make to get them to function properly?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Jul 30, 2022The soft-closing function of the doors on the BESTÅ TV bench is controlled by the hinges. To ensure the doors close softly and silently, you can try the following:
1. Check that the hinges are properly installed and securely attached to both the doors and the frame of the TV bench. Tighten any loose screws.
2. Locate the adjustment screws on the hinges. There may be one or more screws that control the closing speed and force of the doors. Try adjusting these screws gradually, turning them clockwise to increase the soft-closing effect or counterclockwise to reduce it.
3. If the doors still don't close properly, the hinges may need to be replaced. Contact IKEA customer service to obtain replacement hinges designed for the BESTÅ system.
By making these simple adjustments to the hinges, you should be able to get the doors on your BESTÅ TV bench to close softly and silently as described in the product details
