Posted on Mar 29, 2023I recently purchased the BESTÅ TV unit in white and I'm having trouble getting the drawer to slide smoothly. It seems like there is some resistance or maybe even a slight jam. Are there any tips on how to adjust the drawer runners to make it easier to open and close?

Answered on Mar 31, 2023To adjust the drawer runners and make the drawer slide more smoothly, try the following steps:
1. First, fully extend the drawer and locate the small adjustable screws on the drawer runners. These are typically located on the sides of the runners.
2. Using a screwdriver, turn the adjustable screws slightly in the direction that reduces the resistance. Turn them slowly and in small increments to avoid over-adjusting.
3. After each small adjustment, close and open the drawer to test if the movement is smoother. Continue adjusting the screws until the drawer glides open and closes easily.
4. If the drawer still feels too tight, you can also try lubricating the runners with a silicone-based furniture polish or lubricant. Apply a small amount and wipe away any excess.
