Answered on Jan 23, 2024The ALEX casters are designed to work well on a variety of floor types, including carpeted floors. To improve the mobility on your carpeted floor, you can try the following:
1. Adjust the caster height: The casters have an adjustable height. Try lowering the casters slightly so more of the rubber surface contacts the carpet, which can improve the rolling ability.
2. Clean the casters: Over time, the casters can accumulate dirt and debris which can affect their smooth rolling. Clean the casters with a damp cloth to remove any buildup.
3. Consider caster protectors: You can purchase caster protectors or cups that fit over the casters. These help distribute the weight more evenly on carpeted floors and can improve mobility.
4. Try a caster upgrade: If the stock casters still don't roll smoothly, you can look into replacing them with larger or soft-wheel casters specifically designed for carpeted floors.
Let me know if any of these suggestions help improve the mobility of your ALEX storage unit on your carpeted floor

Posted on Aug 26, 2023How do I assemble the casters onto the legs of my storage unit? Are there any specific instructions or requirements for tightening them securely?

Answered on Aug 28, 2023To assemble the ALEX casters onto the storage unit:
1. Ensure the storage unit legs have the pre-drilled holes for the casters.
2. Place the caster into the pre-drilled hole on the leg.
3. Secure the caster by tightening the bolt or screw that comes with the caster set. Tighten the bolt/screw firmly, but do not overtighten.
4. Repeat this process for the remaining 3 casters.
5. Once all 4 casters are installed, gently roll the storage unit to ensure the casters are properly secured and functioning smoothly.
Be careful not to overtighten the caster bolts/screws, as this could damage the leg or prevent the caster from rotating freely. Tighten them just enough to hold the caster in place securely
