Posted on Nov 02, 2023I love the design of this lamp! Can I replace the light bulb with a higher wattage one? Will it affect the overall ambiance and warmth of the light?

Answered on Nov 04, 2023Replacing the light bulb with a higher wattage one is not recommended for the STRÅLA table lamp. The maximum wattage specified for this lamp is 9W, and using a bulb with a higher wattage could overload the electrical components and potentially damage the lamp. Additionally, a higher wattage bulb would likely produce a brighter, harsher light that may not achieve the warm, cozy ambiance the lamp is designed to create. It's best to use the recommended 9W (or lower) bulb to maintain the intended soft, glowing light output and overall aesthetic of the STRÅLA lamp

Is it a standard size and type, or is it specific to Ikea?

Answered on Sep 20, 2023The STRÅLA table lamp uses a standard E12 (candelabra) base light bulb. You can find replacement bulbs at most hardware stores or lighting retailers. The maximum wattage for this lamp is 9W, so you'll want to use an LED or CFL bulb within that wattage range to ensure proper fit and function. When replacing the bulb, simply twist the lamp shade counterclockwise to remove it, then gently pull out the old bulb and insert the new one, twisting it clockwise to secure it in place. Be careful not to overtighten the bulb. Once the new bulb is installed, twist the lamp shade back on clockwise to reassemble the fixture
