Posted on Apr 08, 2024I have just assembled the Songesand dresser and I'm having trouble with the drawers running smoothly. They seem a bit sticky or rough when being pulled out. Are there any tips on how to lubricate or adjust them to make them run more smoothly?

Answered on Apr 10, 2024To help the drawers on your SONGESAND 6-drawer dresser run more smoothly, you can try the following:
1. Check the drawer slides - Ensure the drawer slides are properly installed and aligned. If they are not, try adjusting them according to the assembly instructions.
2. Apply a lubricant - Use a small amount of a silicone-based furniture polish or lubricant on the drawer slides. This will help reduce friction and make the drawers glide more easily.
3. Check for obstructions - Inspect the drawers and the dresser frame for any debris or obstructions that may be causing the drawers to stick. Gently clean the surfaces if needed.
4. Adjust the drawer height - If the drawers are rubbing against the frame, you can try adjusting the height of the drawers by loosening the screws and repositioning them slightly.
Following these steps should help improve the smoothness of the drawers on your SONGESAND dresser. Let me know if you have any other questions

Answered on Oct 06, 2023To attach the drawers to the frame of the SONGESAND 6-drawer dresser, follow these steps:
1. Ensure all the drawer slides are properly installed onto the dresser frame. The slides should be securely attached and able to extend fully.
2. Gently place the drawer box onto the extended drawer slide. Make sure it aligns properly with the slide.
3. Push the drawer box inwards until you hear a click, indicating it has locked into place on the slide.
4. Repeat this process for each drawer until all 6 drawers are installed.
5. Test each drawer to ensure it opens and closes smoothly without any obstructions.
If you're still having difficulty, I'd recommend checking the assembly instructions or contacting IKEA customer service for further guidance. They should be able to provide more detailed troubleshooting steps

Answered on Jun 18, 2023To properly attach the drawer slides for the SONGESAND 6-drawer dresser, follow these steps:
1. Locate the drawer slides that came with the dresser. There should be 6 sets of slides, one for each drawer.
2. Extend the inner part of the slide all the way out. This will make it easier to attach to the drawer.
3. Align the inner slide with the holes on the side of the drawer box. Secure it using the screws provided.
4. Push the outer part of the slide into the cabinet opening until it clicks into place.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 for each of the 6 drawers.
6. Once all the slides are attached, you can begin sliding the drawers into the cabinet. Make sure they are aligned properly and glide smoothly.
