Posted on May 06, 2023I'm having trouble with the drawer glides on my Maximera/Voxtorp walnut SEKTION base cabinet. They are making a loud creaking noise when I open and close the drawers. Is there anything I can do to lubricate or adjust them to make them quieter?

Answered on May 08, 2023The creaking noise you're experiencing with the drawer glides on your SEKTION base cabinet is likely due to lack of lubrication. Here are the steps to help resolve this issue:
1. Fully extend the drawer and locate the glides - these are the metal tracks the drawer slides on.
2. Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant or furniture polish to the glides. Avoid using oil-based lubricants as they can attract dust and dirt over time.
3. Open and close the drawer a few times to work the lubricant into the glides.
4. If the noise persists, you may need to adjust the drawer alignment. There are small screws on the drawer sides that allow you to fine-tune the positioning. Adjust in small increments until the drawer operates smoothly and quietly.
Let me know if this helps resolve the creaking noise. The MAXIMERA drawers are designed for smooth, quiet operation when properly maintained

Posted on Feb 10, 2023I've assembled the SEKTION base cabinet with the Maximera/Voxtorp walnut fronts and low drawers, but I'm having trouble getting one of the drawers to slide smoothly. It seems to catch or stick occasionally. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

Answered on Feb 12, 2023The issue with the drawer catching or sticking is likely due to an alignment or installation problem. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve the problem:
1. Check the drawer slides: Ensure the drawer slides are properly installed and aligned. Make sure they are not bent or damaged, and that they are securely attached to both the cabinet frame and the drawer.
2. Inspect the drawer front: Verify that the drawer front is properly aligned and not rubbing against the cabinet frame. Adjust the front if necessary to ensure smooth operation.
3. Lubricate the slides: Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the moving parts of the drawer slides. This can help reduce friction and improve the smoothness of the drawer.
4. Check the drawer box: Ensure the drawer box itself is not warped or damaged, as this can cause it to bind in the cabinet opening. If the drawer box is the issue, you may need to replace it.
5. Adjust the drawer depth: If the drawer is still catching, try adjusting the depth of the drawer by loosening the screws and shifting the drawer forward or backward slightly.
Following these steps should help resolve the issue and allow the drawer to slide smoothly. Let me know if you have any other questions
