Posted on Feb 20, 2024I'm having trouble with the drawer of my Malm dressing table. It's a bit stuck and I can't pull it out all the way. Is there a trick to lubricate or loosen it?

Answered on Feb 22, 2024To loosen the stuck drawer on your MALM dressing table, you can try the following:
1. Gently pull the drawer out as far as it will go. Inspect the drawer slides for any debris or obstructions that may be causing the sticking.
2. Use a silicone-based furniture polish or lubricant spray to lightly coat the drawer slides. Avoid using oil-based products as they can attract more dirt over time.
3. Push the drawer back in, then pull it out again slowly and smoothly. The lubrication should help the drawer glide more easily.
4. If the drawer is still sticking, you can try adjusting the drawer stops. There are small screws on the drawer slides that control the stop position. Loosen them slightly to allow the drawer to extend further.
5. As a last resort, you may need to remove the drawer completely and clean the slides more thoroughly. Refer to the IKEA assembly instructions for the proper removal process.
With some gentle care and lubrication, you should be able to get that MALM drawer sliding smoothly again
