Posted on Mar 10, 2024I love this laptop stand! I have a small desk and sometimes my laptop gets too hot when it's flat on the surface. Can you recommend any other products that would work well with this stand, like a lap blanket or a cooling pad?

BRÄDA laptop cooling pad - This cooling pad has built-in fans to help dissipate heat from your laptop, preventing overheating. It can be easily placed on top of the BJÖRKÅSEN stand.
FÄLTMAL lap desk - This lap desk has a built-in cushion to provide a comfortable surface for your laptop when using it on your lap. It can be used in conjunction with the BJÖRKÅSEN stand.

Answered on Aug 22, 2023To securely attach the BJÖRKÅSEN laptop stand to your desk, you can use clamps or C-clamps. Look for clamps that have a wide enough grip to securely hold the laptop stand's base to the edge of your desk. Make sure the clamps are tight and won't slip or come loose during use. You can also try using double-sided tape or adhesive pads on the bottom of the stand to help grip the desk surface. Just be careful when removing the stand later, as the adhesive may leave residue. With the right clamping or adhesive solution, you can keep the BJÖRKÅSEN laptop stand firmly in place on your desk

Consider attaching a small knob or lever to the tilt adjustment mechanism. This would allow you to grip and turn it with one hand more easily. You could potentially find a compatible hardware piece at a local hardware store and attach it yourself.
Alternatively, IKEA does offer an accessory called the BJÖRKÅSEN Tilt Adjustment Knob that is specifically designed for this purpose. This knob clips onto the existing tilt adjustment and provides a larger, easier-to-grip surface for one-handed use.
