Posted on Dec 25, 2023I am having trouble with the drawers not opening smoothly. They tend to get stuck and are difficult to push open. What could be causing this issue? Is there a trick to lubricate the drawer slides or is it a design flaw?

Answered on Dec 27, 2023The most likely cause of the drawers not opening smoothly is that the drawer slides need to be lubricated. Over time, the slides can become dry and sticky, making it difficult to open the drawers. To fix this, you can try applying a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the slides. Avoid using oil-based lubricants as they can attract dust and grime. Simply apply a thin layer of the lubricant to the slides and open and close the drawers a few times to work it in. This should help restore smooth, easy drawer operation. If the issue persists after lubricating, there may be an issue with the drawer slides themselves and you may need to replace them. But lubricating the slides is usually an effective solution for stuck or difficult-to-open drawers on this BESTÅ storage unit

Posted on Jan 24, 2023I have two units of the Bestå storage combination, and I'm having trouble with one of them. The drawer on the left is not opening properly. When I push it, it gets stuck halfway open and doesn't want to close completely either. Have you heard this issue before?
Is there a solution or do I need to contact Ikea's customer support?
