Stands firmly in place on uneven floors thanks to the included adjustable feet.
To save on our natural resources and make use of as much of the tree as possible, we have used sawmill leftovers and scrap wood in the particle boards for SMÅSTAD.
This bookcase has lots of storage in a small space – from baby years to teens. On the open shelves you can display and have things close at hand, and in the drawers there is room for things of all sizes.

Posted on Aug 05, 2023I have a SMÅSTAD bookcase with two drawers and I love it! However, the drawer handles seem to be loose. Is there an easy way to tighten them or are they supposed to be adjustable?

Answered on Aug 07, 2023The drawer handles on the SMÅSTAD bookcase with 2 drawers are designed to be adjustable. If the handles feel loose, you can easily tighten them. Here are the steps:
1. Locate the screws on the back of the drawer that connect the handle to the drawer front.
2. Using a screwdriver, gently tighten the screws to secure the handle in place. Don't overtighten as this could damage the drawer front.
3. If the handle is still loose after tightening the screws, you can try adding small washers between the handle and drawer front to take up any extra space.
4. Once the handle is tight and secure, test the drawer to ensure it opens and closes smoothly.

Posted on Jun 02, 2023I have a small child and I'm planning to use this bookcase for them. The adjustable feet are a great feature as my floors can be a bit uneven. Can the drawers be adjusted in height or is it fixed? And do the drawers come with dividers or are they empty?
