Posted on Jan 30, 2024I have a question about the sink cabinet, specifically the glass countertop. I noticed that there are some scratches on the surface, which are quite noticeable. Is it possible to repair or refinish the glass to remove these scratches and restore its original appearance?

Answered on Feb 01, 2024The glass countertop of the GODMORGON/TOLKEN / OXMYREN sink cabinet is made of safety glass, which is durable but can still be prone to scratches over time. Unfortunately, it is not possible to repair or refinish the glass surface to remove the scratches. The glass countertop is a single piece that is part of the overall sink cabinet design, and it cannot be replaced or refinished individually.
The best solution would be to replace the entire sink cabinet unit if the scratches are significantly affecting the appearance. IKEA does sell replacement sink cabinets, and you could purchase a new GODMORGON/TOLKEN / OXMYREN unit to restore the original look of your bathroom. Alternatively, you may consider exploring other IKEA sink cabinet options that better suit your needs and preferences

Answered on Feb 19, 2023The glass countertop on the GODMORGON/TOLKEN / OXMYREN sink cabinet can be replaced if it becomes scratched or damaged. Here are the steps to replace the countertop:
1. Carefully remove the sink and faucet from the existing countertop.
2. Unscrew the countertop from the cabinet base.
3. Purchase a replacement TOLKEN countertop in the same size (55 7/8 x 19 1/4 inches) and color (dark gray/black marble effect).
4. Place the new countertop on the cabinet base and secure it with screws.
5. Re-install the sink and faucet, making sure they are properly aligned and sealed.
You can also try gently buffing out light scratches on the existing countertop using a mild abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth. However, for deeper scratches, replacement of the countertop is recommended to maintain the desired aesthetic
