Posted on Apr 19, 2023I'm having trouble with the drawer runners on my Maximera drawer. The drawers are very difficult to open and close smoothly. Is there a trick or adjustment that can be made to make them run more smoothly?

1. Check the drawer runners for any obstructions or debris that may be causing friction. Gently wipe down the runners with a clean, dry cloth to remove any dirt or dust buildup.
2. Ensure the drawers are properly aligned within the cabinet frame. The Maximera drawers have adjustable runners that allow you to fine-tune the positioning. Consult your assembly instructions on how to make minor adjustments to the drawer alignment.
3. Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant or furniture polish to the drawer runners. This will help reduce friction and allow the drawers to glide smoothly.
4. If the issue persists, the drawer runners may need to be replaced. Contact IKEA customer service to inquire about replacement parts and the process for getting new runners installed
