I recently purchased the HEMNES bed frame in dark gray stained and I'm having some issues with the slatted bed base. The curved slats are not providing the comfort zones as described, they're actually causing my back to ache. Is there a way to adjust or replace the slats?

I recently purchased the HEMNES bed frame in dark gray stained and I'm having some issues with the slatted bed base. Some of the slats are loose and don't fit properly into the frame, which is causing my mattress to sag. How can I tighten or adjust the slats so that they fit securely?

To tighten and secure the loose slats on your HEMNES bed frame, you can try the following:

1. Locate the slats that are loose and not fitting properly into the frame. Gently push them back into place, ensuring they are fully inserted.

2. If the slats still feel loose, you can try adding wood glue to the ends of the slats before reinserting them. This will help hold them in place more securely.

3. Ensure the frame is level and not rocking, as this can cause the slats to become dislodged. You can try adjusting the leveling feet on the bed frame to stabilize it.

4. As a last resort, you can replace any severely damaged or warped slats with new ones from IKEA to restore the proper fit and support for your mattress.
